HISTORIAN, AFRICANIST & PROFESSOR
Lindsay has always had a passion for history--for telling the true history of black people globally. She has a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in history from Texas Southern University. Her areas of interest are in African American History, Ancient African History, the African Diaspora, and Africana Studies. She will begin her Doctor of Philosophy in African American studies in 2019. Lindsay shares her passion and applies her knowledge by making history accessible to others as a professor, writer, genealogist, and through her documentary filmmaking and nonprofit. Lindsay is the creator of Too Black to be Creole, a documentary film on history, race, culture, and identity, and The Re-education Project, a nonprofit organization devoted to teaching and applying black history.
